New Yorker Cover

Hypothetical New Yorker cover for the week of September 11, 2011.

I was thinking about the fact that children now learn about the attacks in their history classes. It's weird for me, as someone who vividly remembers that day, to have something in my conscious memory be a part of history and taught as part of a regular curriculum. I also wanted to suggest a feeling of hope by including the new buildings being constructed at Ground Zero.

Colored pencil, live-traced ink, and crayon with Photoshop touches.
